How the PCP Process Works
The Med Tech hands the MINI screen to the patient when they are escorted the exam room.
The tech tells the patient to “please fill this out while you wait for the doctor”. If the results are
positive, a follow-up visit is scheduled.
During the follow-up visit the doctor can administer the full MINI. The Staff then schedules a
third visit to review the findings and create a treatment plan.
When the patients come for the final return visit, the clinician (if embedded model) will perform
a bio psychosocial, using all collected information to provide an informed diagnosis and create
a custom treatment plan.
The clinician can then begin psychotherapy, in conjunction with any medication the supervising
physician may require.
A series of chronological evidence based medical outcome tracking. This can be done in person
or via the web.
There are several challanges when billing for psyciatric codes in a primary care setting. It took our staff a great deal of time to fine tune this process.
